Today we are plagued by a nutrition deficiency in the food we eat. It seems that companies have made the simple task of eating healthy an impossible feat to accomplish. There is a reason they call it the SAD diet (Standard American Diet). We are overfed & undernourished.

Processed food first became a massive industry in the 1920s, for a variety of reasons. Processed food is cheaper, it tastes great (usually because of added fat, sugar, or salt, etc.), and the convenience makes it easy to obtain and eat without much time spent prepping, cooking, or buying. It is estimated that processed food makes up more than 70% of the US diet today!

The FDA does not know how many additives go into the food we eat. One such additive is refined sugar. We all know that large intakes of sugar can lead to metabolic problems, and sugar is believed to be the driving force behind many common diseases like diabetes, and heart disease.

The problem with Processed Food is that it has become the norm, and no one bats an eye before mindlessly consuming these food-like products. More than one-third of Americans are obese, and one in four die from heart disease. This is an epidemic, and it can be quelled through a healthy diet & lifestyle.

Changing these bad eating habits is by no means easy. You have to want to change and be tenacious, but lets keep trying to move towards health together!

21-Day Detox


That’s right, our THAW Challenges are back for 2017! We will be doing one challenge every other month in 2017.

We hope these challenges will give us first hand insights about how to bring a better, healthier lifestyle to our patients and ourselves. We want to be walking the walk & talking the talk of a true health and wellness lifestyle.

The THAW Challenge for February is going to be taking part in a 21-Day Detox Challenge!

Anyone who is interested to join us on this mission is welcome. Standard Process does a great purification program that we do at least once a year. Remember we can help you modify the program and are here to help with any questions. It’s not about a crash diet fad. This is about resetting your body and making solid lifestyle changes over a 21-day period.
